In prehistoric times the Role of women was equal to men. They could stand tall with men in education , studies and knowledge. We have seen reference of a number of women like Maitri, Gargee and Apala to name a few in our Ved puran. The role of women in different status of society have gone through changes with time. In current time the role of women is infinite. In modern times a women contribution is seen in all facets of life. But still we continuously keep hearing incident of injustice & torture towards women. Women are fighting continuously against these injustice and is never keeping any stones unturned to keep her head held up & straight. 66 pally takes the opportunity of Durga Puja ,as a platform to protest against the injustice towards women. They believe mother durga is present in all women of different works of life. In their pandal , to highlight their theme “ My durga ” they bring life to different works of women as a reflection of mother durga.

They have used music, design, colours to represent the different works of life of women.

Autumn in chaste Language means a festive month. Its colorful festival ceremony rejuvenates the life from dull & monotonous feeling. Autumn light blue sky interrupted by patches of milk-white clouds & softy white Seuli flower invites mother Durga. Colourful brightness all around the nature creates freshness in mind to worship mother Goddess Durga for all cast creed and religion.
Every pandal will be decorated and designed with new colourful ideas and thoughts. This year we invite mother with coloured light and a magic of color of depicting the stories of Mahabharata with feel of glass paintings. We bring mother in the magical facial form of Midnapore pot paintings.
The complete design is done with crust cellophane paper. First the out line is drawn is done and then the coloured cellophane is used to make the picture. The finishing is done with light focus from background to give a glass painting like feeling.
